The Humanities Unit holds provincial responsibility for curriculum and program
development in the areas of Arts Education, English Language Arts, Health
Education, Kindergarten, and Physical Education. The Humanities Unit also shares responsibility
for Wellness and Life Transitions. Members of the Unit develop and maintain
curriculum guides and related documents, serve in an advisory capacity
regarding delivery of these programs and inclusion of department initiatives
into instruction, advise on the identification and produ ction of instructional
resources, and provide professional development inservice and workshops
to teachers, administrators and community organizations.
