Inclusion Program Training and Resource Grant Information

The Child Care Inclusion Program provides support to families and licensed child care facilities to include children with diverse needs in child care programs by assisting with the additional costs of providing training and resources for child care facilities working with children with diverse needs.

Factors Determining Eligibility

Training shall be evaluated based on the following:

• How does the training relate to and support the child(ren) with diverse needs?
  
• Does a referring professional support the training for the child care professional(s)?
  
• Is the cost for the training reasonable?

The facility may, but is not required to, be receiving other Inclusion funding to be eligible for this grant.

Grant amounts

The maximum amount of Training and Resources Grant funding shall not exceed $100 ($200 for Enhanced Accessibility) in any one year grant term.

The amount requested by the facility must reflect actual cost of the training and/or resources being provided.

Accountability

If for any reason the Training and Resources Grant is not spent on approved training, unused and misused funds will be required to be repaid.

The facility is responsible for retaining all receipts for training and/or resources purchased with grant funding as the Program Consultant may request to review them periodically.
